Reset password for Syslog server

Did not write down the password so now cannot login. :-(
How do I reset the password please?

Hey Dennis,

Thank you for your inquiry.

To reset the username/password:
1. Go to services.msc and stop the Fastvue Syslog service
2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Fastvue\Syslog Server and open the *Settings.json* in your favorite text editor.
3. Change the AuthEnabled to false and the AuthUsername and AuthPassword to "".

End of file should look like this:


4. Restart the Fastvue Syslog service.

You should now be able to access the interface without a username/password prompt. You can click the Cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the application to set a new username and password.
